Kelly

Kelly was visiting from Florida, so we figured we'd do a few shots, just because. They came out beautiful!

This was her first time modeling, and she did a GREAT job.

She will be back in town soon, and there will be more photos up of new shoots =)

Spooky

I love the Fall. This season means Halloween, parties, & warm colors.

Last week my friend Alley came over & we did a very simple, yet amazing shoot...definitely one of my favorites. Everything about these photos sets the mood for Fall: spooky tattoos, dim/soft lighting, shadows, candles & Halloween party confetti.

Enjoy.

I forgot how much I love it outside...

I've been so caught up shooting in the studio all the time, that I forget how nice it is to take pictures outdoors.

The other day was overcast and windy & I really wanted to be out in it! So my friends Crystal & Michelle volunteered themselves for me to shoot...nothing fancy: just simple, relaxing, natural shots. They came out great, & I love them. I want to do more un-posed, natural shots. It was fun.

Arizona

I've wanted to use this display case in a shoot for a while. Luckily my friend Az was more than willing to jump in! Getting in and out of there was a chore lol, but she made it work! The location of the shoot was very interesting, since there were passersby that kind of froze once they walked in front of our window and saw a naked girl hanging out in a glass case...it definitely made the night fun! Thanks Ryan & Josh for all your help with moving things & your two cents ;)

Here's the results. Enjoy.

Sweet Tooth Art Show 8/2010

There's an art show this coming Friday in Portsmouth, everything is 'confection' themed. Here's a few of my entrys.

First is of Ashley, her bright colored hair/tattoos always remind me of candy anyway, so this worked out perfectly!

Second is my daughter Lucy...she's cute all the time, so i just sat her in front of my camera with some cupcakes =)

Third is Shan. We actually did this shoot last year, but the colors & little ice cream decorations are perfect for this show!

Miescha

These photos were taken to be auctioned at a benefit. I really thought they'd be kind of cheesy, you know: motorcycle, gun, bathingsuit...but I really liked how they turned out!

Miescha did an awesome job modeling & I'm definitely using her in a shoot again soon =)

Thanks to Krystar for doing a great job on makeup, & to Ryan for the location & bike.

Gas Mask Take 1

Sunday night (6/13/10) I got to spend a few hours at home shooting inanimate objects which i enjoyed alot! I bought a gas mask a few weeks ago & I wanted to experiment with it... so Josh volunteered to model for me =) A few lit candles for soft lighting & here are the results.

Afterwards, I went outside & shot on the bridge by my house, just to play with shutter speed & to get a few night shots. I'm the goofball silhouette in the middle!

I definitely enjoyed taking these shots, & I intend on doing more.

Eerie Latex

''Eerie Twilight" is an awesome model from Richmond, Va that I had the pleasure to work with. She was very open & had some great ideas for angles & faces. I enjoyed this shoot ALOT & we're already planning our next shoot for June.

I discovered a new love for liquid latex & hope I can use it more often!
I will post more pictures in a few weeks.

Enjoy!

Ashley Marian @ Northwest River Park

Ashley & I have been planning for about a year to shoot. We finally both found the time to take a mini adventure out to the most beautiful park around! It was very cold out & Ashley still wanted to go for a swim. I loved her attitude & spunk...even though she was freezing! She was so awesome to work with, & we're planning for round 2 soon =)

You can see more of her modeling here:

New dress, Old look.

Daleia Shemell is one of my best friends. She lives in NY & hasn't been down here to see me in 2 years! Before she moved, we always liked to shoot vintage/retro styles. So, we couldn't break the tradition =)

We went to the docks in Norfolk. Alot of local photographers like to use that spot, & I understand why...it's so pretty! I really enjoyed shooting outdoors, I love the natural sun light.

Here's a few shots we took, enjoy ;)

Ashley Creepshow is one of my favorite people to shoot, she's very photogenic & fun to collaborate with.

She made an amazing 4 layer vegan cake with blood icing & a knife sticking out of the top & I couldn't resist! We didn't make any plans for this shoot, I just showed up at her house with my equipment 2 days ago, and this was the result.

Carly Ross (Cool & Eclectic)

About 2 weeks ago, I had the pleasure of working with Carly Ross for the first time. She is absolutely amazing to shoot! As you can see, she's gorgeous & very photogenic, but also hilarious!

MUA Gin Stafford & models Brian & Adam Fockler setup a time for us to shoot in the store Cool & Eclectic in Lynnhaven Mall. The setup was a bit difficult with all the clutter in the background, but we managed to still get a few great shots....

<--- Rug hanging from the ceiling made a perfect background!

<--- Amazing face(s)!

Double Booking = GREAT!

I noticed that I tend to double book myself alot, but that's ok....they always turn out AWESOME!

Sunday 1/3/2010 Nt'l Beard Day?

This Sunday was a busy day. I did two shoots.

First: Big Kev

He's a friend with a sweet beard. We've been talking about taking pictures of him for months now, and I'm glad we finally got around to it.

I went shopping for some material to use for his shoot, and I think I found the perfect design! Those little orange flowers are cute and dainty, and Kevin isn't...so It worked out perfectly.

The turnout was.....perfect!
That shoot is definitely one of my favorites.

You need this music in your life. So go look it up.

Brandon is a good friend and very talented musician. A lot of his songs are about the death of his true love. It's sweet...in a demented kind of way.

He got all dressed up and covered himself in blood, froze to death, and stuck a shovel near his dead girl. Tiffany volunteered again and got wrapped in a sheet and laid on the ground for a good 10 minutes. Thank youuu =)

These pictures are amazing.

I always think it, but never write it...

Almost everytime I do a shoot, there's something funny or interesting that happens. And I end up telling 5-10 friends the same story over and over. Well I think I'm gonna save some air and just write it out.
